How can I find a place to stay so that I can move with my best friend?

My best friend is moving to another state, and my parents said if I could find a place to stay I could live there. But I have no idea how I would do that. I'm 16, so I don't think I can live alone. Is there like a student exchange program but like between states instead of countries? Or does anyone know of a way? I'm kinda desperate, as you can probably tell, so I'm willing to try pretty much anything. I will give the best answer five stars, and, if they're willing to travel, a hug too!

ask ur parents if the will emancipate u i know in some states u only have to be 16 and if they will then all ur friends parents have to do is sign da paper for u to live with them
