How can I find a reliable company to sell my idea or invention to?

There are a lot of companies that want you to tell them your idea first before any legal paper work is signed stating that I am the one who thought of the idea

unfortunatley, the only way to be absolutley positive that no one will steal your idea is to get it patented. If you have a friend that is a lawyer, talk to him/her about the patenting process. I do know that is it very expensive though. However, always remember you can't put a price on a good imagination.

I have absolutely no idea but that sure is a good question.  I knew an attorney that worked in patent law in Washington so maybe there is a government agency that regulates these companies or has a listing.
