How can I find a talent agent in Southern California for a 16 year old girl?

I am 5'7", 98 pounds, dirty blonde hair which I recently died "light reddish blonde", pretty outgoing. I'm really interested in movies or (yeah right) TV shows, but I wouldn't mind acting in some plays. I really would not be comfortable with musicals. This could be way too much information, I'm not really sure. :D

Also, SHOULD I get an agent? I've done a couple school plays, but that's really all.

Is getting an agent a first step or no?

I've tried googling talent agents in SoCal, but it's mostly junk. :/

ANY help would be appreciated!

No you don't need a talent agent just yet try going to open casting calls and stay away from those agencies that want money and or want you to get head shots from their photographers.
