that is an ignorant answer, just because some one is seeking a mentor, does not mean they are not already mentoring some one else. it just means they desire to learn more from a trusted and wise person. like how to remain calm when people act like jerks

  1. At that age, you should not need a mentor guy.

  2. hi . for many years i struggled along until i found at age 35 a mentor . it was my ex mother in law . a woman who was a very strong lady , overcoming breast cancer and raising a family all by herself on her own income , with no handouts . you will find a mentor if you are open to those around you . the opportunity will be right there .  good luck . d.

  3. I think you are a wise individual.

The way to find a mentor is to become involved in the field you are interested in.  Lets say you want to become a writer. You would first go to B&N get a few books and read up on the subject so that you would be able to have an informed conversation.

Next, connect with a local writer's guild. Move slowly..get to know the people involved. As you become aware of who you relate with and who is knowledgeable, you will be able to begin building a relationship.

Remember to move slowly...people that could make great mentors are often frightened off....if approached to quickly.

    Best of luck.

  4. At that age you should BE a mentor not be looking for someone to mentor you.

  5. Just ask friends you know, if they can't tell you then just go on the internet, get a name and find out how good they are.

  6. Here: http://www.findyourcoach.com/ and I think Tony robbins has a life coach program, you might do a search for one of his trained coaches.

  7. Check with a local probation office who can probably point you to a local social worker.  They are usually pretty good people who are experienced at helping people fix their own problems.

  8. You can trust me!  What is it that I may help you with or just let it all out.

  9. a mentor in what? Life, work, s*x???

  10. Get involved in stuff; join a club, go to a church, etc.  That will put you in contact with people who share your interests.  I'm about your age, and I know that a good friend to look up to is a nice plus.
