While still in the USA, how can I best search for an apartment in Ho Chi Minh City?

A good idea to get started is first go to hostels.com and get a hotel or guest house booked for a month. Make sure to get the direct contact info and you can always get a discount and during that month you will have a better chance on finding a reasonable priced apartment and not the outrageous prices by trying to find them online. For the apartments running 300-500 and higher you will be able to even find a house for those prices here in Nam and some very nice houses in Saigon for about 500 USD with 2-4 rooms
