  1. depends on where you live.

    All I know is LA

  2. An agent is recommended but not nessecarry

Well your still going to want to get an agent as soon as you can. But until then look on actors access it list all the auditions that are both union and non-union that are going on in the LA/NY area

Also backstage west/east has info on auditions as well

    break a leg

  3. Backstage.com

    Actorsaccess.com

Neither is completely free but they are the most legit sites.  LAcasting has more commercial stuff but it's pricier than AA.  Start with the first 2 and see how it goes.

Also, you may think you're good enough but do you have any training?  You may very well be great, but you are also new to the business and you are going in blind to these auditions.  You don't have a clue what's going to happen.  I don't think it's smart to go in thinking you are good enough if you've never been to a class.  Believeing you're good enough is great, but that's different than being prepared.  Take a class.  An ongoing one.  You really ned to learn about acting and the industry before you just show up to an audition or you will burn bridges fast.

    good luck,

    Marianne

  4. your best bet would b to get an agent. or you could look in your newspaper for auditions...
