How can I find benevolent people to donate money so I can stay at home and look after my baby? I don't want to go back to work. The thought of leaving my baby kills me. My husband doesn't earn enough to support us all.

  1. try private eye - they have loads of people advertise in the "eye want" section that they need finacial help

  2. leave him.

  3. i also didn't want to leave my kids. Good ideas above. Also: Ran a licensed day care home. Advertised in local paper and sewed things and upholstered for people. Did phone calls from home for local charities and got paid per successful donation. Also, made things and sold them at local bazaars, etc., such as macrame flower pot hangers, etc. Crochet baby blankets, etc. What are your talents or what can you check some books out of the library and lear to make or do? What kind of work were you doing before? Can you type for people? Advertise at a local college, if so. Or if have to, work at night when baby sleeps and hubbie is home. Lots of things to do.

Too bad our society doesn't recognize the importance of rearing children, though. Not that we should necessarily get paid for raising our own children, but that spouses, etc. should see it as a noble pursuit and they should work a second job to make ends meet so you can stay home with baby, maybe. Or share the child rearing while you work part time.

  4. I am sorry, but do you really believe you are more worthy of cash hand outs than people who can't afford basic necessities like food, homes, clean water?

It is tough leaving your baby to go back to work, but do you really want to bring your child up thinking that begging for handouts is they way to live a life?

Why not figure out a way to earn a living from home, for example, be a child minder for other parents who both also have to work.

Good luck, and Happy New Year!

  5. How to live as a one worker family. Get creative.

First, really look hard at your costs, and them slash them. Get brutal, no treats, tesco value food, iceland, move somewhere cheaper if you have to.

Look at qualifying as a registered child carer. Last year I was paying £4 ph to a woman to look after my baby at the same time she was looking after her children. She was charging more than other child carers, but she was so nice, I wanted my baby to spend the day with her rather than the other carers I met.

Can you work part time, can you work part time at work, the rest of the week at home? If you are not in a job that lets you do this what can you do to get into this kind of job?

    lots of things to do.

  6. you think having people give you money is the only way you can stay home and look after your baby ?  there's plenty of people who find ways to do this.   My sister in law goes to yard sales or buys stuff on ebay or whatever and then she puts the antiques in an antique mall and sells the antiques and all.  she does some time outside of the house but she spends most of her time with her kids.   it takes some research and creatitivity.

you don't have to beg and I can't believe someone would resort to begging instead of using their head and trying to come up with a workable solution.   it takes work and thinking and a lot of prayer.   try asking people who already do this and see how they did it.

  7. Begging's not allowed on here. If you're that short, sell the computer or get a job like everyone else.

  8. tough ...... get a job!!!!!!!!

  9. come to England, we are very benevolent. ask anyone who has come here in the last two years.
