  1. I've been looking online for good cruise deals lately and found a good one with Hobbit Travel. I'm thinking about going with the "5 Night Caribbean Cruise from $499" deal, that sails in '08, but I'm still looking for anything I can find that is better.

  2. vacationstogo.com

I have been on many cruises and this site is the most helpful..you can book cruise years or days in advance...the deals are great and many include money to spend on board the ship

  3. I booked a 10-day Panama Canal cruise with Princess Cruises just last week. The cruise leaves in February 2009. I paid about $4,300 for a balcony cabin (solo).

Frequently check the cruiseline's website or with your Travel Agent to see if the price goes down. Call and ask about having the lower rate applied to your booking.

Websites like cruisecritic.com and cruisemates.com are reat resources for cruise information.

  4. Vacationstogo.com  is a great site for cheap cruises in advance or last minute . Also, if you know what line you would like to sail on, check their website every few weeks.

  5. Be careful of booking "cheap" cruises on line.  You might end up with extra charges, or maybe mistakes made on the booking and not be able to get in contact with an agent to help you.

Actually there are not that many "cheap" cruises.  A couple years ago most of the cruiselines adopted the policy that if agencies are caught discounting cruises, below what the cruiseline is advertising, then they will pull their priviledges.

Best advise, contact a local cruise agent, talk to them, tell them what you are looking for and let them help you search.  It does not cost you any more to use an agent, then you will have someone to help with any problems, and go to bat for you if the cruiseline makes a mistake.

    Good luck!!

  6. i would keep looking at the online cruise websites, checking prices. make sure that you are comparing the same cruise (dates, ports of call) on each site and when you feel good about the prices, GO for it!! Remember there are most likely additional PORT charges and Govt fees.   As well as budgeting for the gratuities for onboard servers/room stewards. Good luck on your search.  I like vacationstogo.com or joystar.com.   :)

  7. compare all cruiselines on vacationstogo.com

  8. I always book through Carnival.  I have a vacation planner in Miami who works for them.  We call him, and he always gets us the best deals.  Even better than the online cruise sites.  He got us a 7 day Western Caribbean for under $1400 this year.  That is for four people.  Booked almost a year early for that one.
