You first must prepare a good presentation of what your project is and how it works. If there is anything that is proprietary you should get it patented first.

Be prepared for a great deal of skepticism.

Everybody and his brother comes up with schemes that they think are interesting.

The challenge is that there are so many competing proposals already out there you are going to have to give up some information about how your device works to get anyone interested.
