  1. call a lawyer that specializes in that. They usually work with accountants. Do a yellow pages search in your area on tax lawyers.

Be careful of these online quick fix scam artists pretending to be professionals.

    DON"T TRUST THE IRS!

Believe me when I tell you this

  2. I don't know what your situation is, but I had a tax lien and I went to a Nationwide tax relief. Big rip off. They charged me 2700.00 to make arrangements with the Federal tax, but after I paid then they told me the couldn't help with the State tax. If I were you I would call and make arrangements yourself. The Irs made a manageable payment arrangement. The state was not as manageable but they do let you make payments. Try it on your own first.

  3. What exactly is your situation?  It may be complicated or simple but right now it is just mysterious.

You should find an enrolled agent who specializes in tax collection issues (not return preparation).

I handle these kinds of problems professionally (also personally and for a fraction of what a previous poster paid to an outfit that advertises on cable TV.)  You can email me through my profile if you want more information.

  4. What's your situation? Do you have a lien that you want subordinated? Is your tax liability paid but the lien hasn't been released?

Generally speaking, the IRS won't release a lien until the debt is satisfied, although they may be willing to subordinate the lien if it facilitates collection of the debt.

If the debt is paid off, keep in mind that even though the lien has been released it still stays on your credit report for up to 10 years.
