  1. For slightly more than the cost a new Toyota Prius you could do the conversion. I looked into it about a year ago and discovered that it was not even close to economical to do this.

With a certain amount of mechanical and electrical aptitude you could do it yourself. Even then it would cost plenty. If you are paying someone else $10-20/hour to do the conversion, it is just prohibitive. The website below sells a "kit" for abut 10K - then you have to buy the batteries (figure about $1400 for batteries) and have someone do the conversion.

That's why a Tesla roadster is going for 90K

  2. I think these are the folks you  want to talk with:

  3. contact EV Parts, they are near you. I have dealt with them buying parts for my project.  I live in B.C.

  4. No I do not... You do realize of course the cost of such a conversion? I hope you have lots and lots of cash!

  5. honestly, it would cost way to much to be worth it. plus its not something a mechanic can just do. you would have to take out the gas engine, and replace it with an electric motor that would be able to sufficiently power your vehicle, which is a hard combination to match up. its not realistic budd. you should just wait untill chevy comes out with its Volt vehicle. or buy a hybrid that already utilizes electricity (but not 100%)
