There are numerous websites that can show you how to build a tesla coil. There are a number of safetly precautions. Tesla coils produce very high voltages (in the kilovolt range) which are very dangerous.  It is illegal to build these in some places.  The resonant frequency of the tesla coil must be tuned correctly in order to avoid any danger. Tesla coils have killed people. Do not attempt to use or assemble a Tesla coil without a good understanding of electricity!
