How can I find my cousin who was put up for adoption in New Jersey?

All parties are decesded. ( I dont know abou the father.) I know the facts. My father told me. It was not to be spoken about in his family. I asked my grandfather about Joey before he died. And he said he didnt know what I was talking about. I only found out about him because my Aunt begged on her death bed for her Little Boy.

I dont guess defending matters. I have all this information posted on adoption sites from here to kingdom come and back. He has the right to denie me as family as much as I have the right to want to call him family.

  1. i wish you the best of luck but many times they change the child's name once they enter. its for security reasons but also you should try the local orphanage and see if they could help also you can seek God for advise. best of luck

  2. This may or may not be the way it happened, in all fairness.

I am afraid that it is not a good idea to post all this personal info on this board, and may not be a good idea anyway.

You are a cousin.  Adults in this situation made decisions they thought were correct at the time.  It is just not up to anyone else to try and dig up personal information by posting personal details on the internet unless they are the parties  involved.  What if they don't want this info broadcast all over the world?

There are many legitimate adoption search websites that are far more appropriate.

And sometimes, when people detect that people around them may not be understanding about their adoption decision, or supportive, they change some of the tone of the facts -- like that she was told the baby died.  I am not saying she did this, I am just saying working with 100's of birthmothers over the years, I have known many to change the facts of their decision because they sense or know that the people around them would judge them or shame them.  It is very sad for these courageous women.  FYI.

  3. When he turns 18

  4. Search the internet or go to local hospitals. Especially find the hospital that he was born in. They may know.  Good luck.
