I keep hitting dead ends. I have been looking for her for 10 years. She was born 12/16/1976 in St Paul MN. It was a closed adoption not by my choice. Any advice out there?

  1. tell to a nearest police station

  2. Hmm try going to the police? iono how about you give them her social security number? my cousin works for immigration and he can check ANY records =o iono try to find someone who works for immigration? and just give them her name and your number

  3. Private investigators are great for these.  I was planning to use one to find my long lost half sister but i soon after found out she had pasted away.

  4. I was adopted, and dug hard to find my bio at 18.  Luckily we clicked and had a great relationship.  In a closed adoption all the names could have been changed.  Go by birth date, but that can take forever.  The police won't help you.  You could hire a Private agency.

Post this question in the adoption area of ask.  They will have the best answers for you.  I am think a private agency is all that might help.  Put this in ADOPTION category I know they have answers.

Good Luck on finding her, and be prepared for all her emotions!

  5. She may be searching too and possibly knows your last name and her place of birth.  There is a very good website called Adoption Registry Connect where you can search and register to post your information.  Here is the link.

Don't give up and I wish best of luck to you.

    EDIT:

If you haven't already done so, be sure to give consent to release the birth record information to your daughter through the State Health Dept.  Information at this link:

  6. i would go to cnn headline news and click on nancy grace.. she really is good and sure she can help or advise you what to do.her show is all about missing children.. GOD BLESS YOU IN FINDING HER..

  7. There are web sites that allow you as a biological mother and your daughter as an adopted child to register and, if both are agreeable and over 18 (which obviously you both are), to be put in touch with each other.  I wish you the best of luck in your search.

  8. do you know her name or anything besides her DOB?
