How can I find my lost bird?

My cockateil flew away. How can I atrack it back home?

  1. Go out and look for it.

    Alert all the neighbors.

    Make up fliers, pass them out, post them around the neighborhood.

    Call all vets in the area and let them know about the bird in case someone finds it and brings it in.

    Call all animal and bird rescues and shelters in the area, including any humane society.

  2. I would put his cage outside around where he was lost. Keep his fav foods and toys in it. He will get hungry and look for something familar. Also if you did any whistles back and fourth to him or calls then go out and do this. Also call him or her by name over and over. Set up birdfeeder in your yard as if he gets hungry and sees other birds dining there he may come to. have a net handy just in case he does not come easily. Can get cheap long handled butterfly nets that work great at dollar stores. Good luck to you

  4. did the bird got the wing clip if it did so it can not fly too far let yuor neighbor know if they see the bird on their tree they might catch it and hope they will return back to you . good luck
