How can I find out about aircraft coming into airports the day before?

I keep missing one off arrivals & when I hear about special planes etc its too late!

Most airport web sites will show a list of the regularly scheduled flights by the different airlines that service it.  That list would be the same everyday more or less. Any other flights would not be included.  If you enjoy plane spotting and have the time you can pick a spot and watch them in action.

Check the wind.  Planes take off and land "into" the wind.  That will give you an idea where to station yourself for some take-offs and landings.  Check out this web site for some good videos.

Maybe go to the airports website and look at the flight schedule? Most larger airports have websites.

Most airports here in UK have an arrivals/departures website.  Below is the Gatwick live departures board : -
