How can I find out about my thoroughbreds racing history?

All I want to know is how he placed in the races he ran, even if he wasn't 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Is there a race database that I can search? I know his reg. number and his reg. name. And all the services that cost money will only tell you if the horse placed in the top 3.

  1. go to www.dallascowboys.com

  2. Try bloodhorse.com,  or maybe equibase.com

  3. If your horse raced in GB ot Ireland then you could have used the Racing Post website which is free and lists the racing careers of every horse to have raced in GB and Ireland since about 1995.

If you know what is registered racing name is then you could try http://www.pedigreequery.com, which may show you his race results.

I think if you want it that badly you are just gonna have to pay for it.

  4. Daily Racing Form will give you lifetime past performances, including exactly where horse finished, jockey, track, date, running line, etc. for $5 (available for horses that raced after 1976), delivered as a pdf.

Note that DRF primarily has info. for North American horses, some Euro horses as well.

Following is a link and also a sample of what you get for the $5.

  5. Since i don't the horses age, name, etc, i don't know if this will be helpful or not, but you can try www.pedigreequery.com

put your horse's name in the search function and see what comes up.  But the person that said to go to drf.com and get the past performances was spot on.  Good luck!

  6. Theres a few other options - one of them is pretty much concrete - it is the raceform form book or equivelant - printed every year - the latest copy will be at Whsmith and or at waterstones.

For back copies you'll have to try different booksellers websites.

Other than that you can try adrian massey.com or the Sporting life website.

Oh your american!  - well get following the UK horseracing scene  - its the best in the world!
