Question:

How can I find out about trains from Manchester to Newquay?

I went on trainline and all sorts of train websites and got the times, but the fares seem to be all messed up?! It doesn't make any sense, for example one journey cost £27 and another cost £138.60, and that more expensive one seems to be a return, why can't I buy a single?!

Does anyone know where I can find a good journey planner?!

Thanks

  1. Have a look at www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk

You can get great single fares if you book early enough, assuming you want to travel this summer.

  2. use national rail enquieries and try and look for a saver or advance single/return. if you want to return a saver return should be the one for you at

  3. Agree try http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ , fares depend on when you book them the £27 ticket im guessing is a advance which means you will have to travel on a particular train, the £138 one will have very few restrictions and will give you more choice.

If ou struggle you can always try a railway station ticket office were they can find cheapest fares for you.

    Hope this Helps
