  1. A liter of pure oxygen is 100% of course.  Do you mean what the FiO2 of 1 liter per minute by nasal cannula is?

    It's about 24%

The formula is 21% + 3% for every 1 l/m of oxygen.  Nasal cannula oxygen can provide up to about 44% FiO2.  Anything more than that requires a face mask or endotracheal tube.

  2. If it is indeed a liter of oxygen, it is 100% oxygen.

  3. Your 1 liter is 100% oxygen ....

When you inhale the 1 liter your dilute with 21% oxygen (room air) and most medical books will say that you are on the average delivering 24% oxygen ...

That being said .. the true % of oxygen has to do with with your intake of room air .... how deep your breaths are ... and how fast you are breathing ..... so ... the 24% can be + or -
