How can I find out how much space I have left on my mac?

I'm sure you can click on the Hard Disk icon, and look for an option in the menu after that, but this may be more helpful to you:

It's about "Grand Perspectiv" which is a sourceforge utility that will tell you not only how much disk space you have, but what all the files are that are taking up room.
