Ok, I am due to close on a loan Aug 26th. I purchased a forclosed property. I used an agent who in turn worked with another agent who is selling for the bank. All of the title work is complete because the property has only had one previous owner only a year ago. The problem is now the title company is telling me that the seller changed their companies name and the new name is not showing on the books? When I ask for an estimated time they tell me they don't know, they don't even know when the seller filed for the name change. I am tired of getting the I don't knows so my question is...how do I get this information at the court house myself? When I look up the property tax info it says who brought the property during the forclosure, but when I call this company its like no one knows what I'm talking about. Any advice? I am due out of my current house the end of Aug. I must close b4 then. The contract says they can change close date w/out penalties.
