  3. price is a good indicator.  if its cheap, it is likely sweatshop or 3rd world.   country of mfg. is another.

  4. If you're buying from a supplier in order to re-sell the items you can ask them what kind of assurance they can give.  

    You may also be interested in 'NAFTA Friendly' manufacturers.

  5. If you don't buy clothing from children in sweatshops they will have no job and no money to buy food with.  What is worse?
