How can I find out if my 1962 Buick Electra 225 has a limited slip differential?Would that data be in the VIN?

It's very unlikely it does. All you have to do is put it in the air and spin one back wheel with the car in nuetral and the parking brake off. If the wheels spin in opposite directions, no posi, the same direction, posi. Or something like that.

It looks like posi-trac wasn't offered in the Electra 225 until around 1974, and was called Max Trac.
