How can I find out my landline number?

I need to find out my landline phone number. I have Bt Total Broadband, so I have a broadband telephone number which is different to my landline. I signed up for Total Broadband as soon as I moved in so I don't know what the landline is.

I called BT and they cannot give me it as I'm ex-directory, even when I tell them my account number / details etc.

I need to find it out ASAP - any ideas?

  1. Call a phone with Caller ID, such as your cell phone, or a friend's cell phone.

  2. Type192.168.1.254 in Internet Explorer, that will connect you to your HomeHub, you will be able to see the numbers there, you can also change which phone ring for the 2 numbers.

You may have to put your password in, if you have not changed it, user name is Admin and passowrd is the serial number of the, found on the back.

Also, again if you have not done so change the security from WEP to WAP.

there is a helpfile on the Homehub that tells you how to do it.

Lots of FAQ on the link below

  3. call your cellphone using your landline phone.

  4. call a cell phone

  5. try a reverse search on the white pages.  It may give you the landline number.

Do you pay for access to the the landline. If so the number would be on the bill.
