How can I find out the amount of pool money wagered on "win" bets for Horse Races?

Also, If there was a horse with morning odds of 3:1 what would the odds be at post time if I placed a bet of $100k on that same pony?

  1. The win pool, as well as the place and show pools are displayed on the tote boards, updated every 30 seconds or so.  

    To answer your second question, if you were to drop the $100,000 at the possible second, while the tote board would not show it until the betting closes (at the break from the gate).  The pay-off would reflect it.  Chances are sending it close toa minus mutel pool situation.

    The "morning line" is an estimate or educated guess of how the public will bet.  The lines makers job is to pick favorites, not winners.
