Question:

How can I find out the end result of a lawsuit?

Several years ago, a lawsuit was filed against the city I live in. I never found out the end result, and I want to know. I could probably find out through the Freedom of Information Act. However, I only know the plaintiff's name and the county court in which the suit was filed. Does anybody know how I could find this out? Also, if a settlement was reached, is that information confidential?

  1. Go to the Clerk of Court for The County Court and ask them to look it up... or ask them to show you the index for the at time and section.  You can look in the in dices( index's)  for the name and the Parties.  Or go to the Public library. Ask the librarian for the periodicals of that period and scan through them...if they are on microfiche or electronic media they may help you learn how to look it up!  If this doesn't get you there hit me back
