How can I find out the history on my ancestors?

My dad said my family is related to Jefferson Davis, but I don't know if that is true or not. I know I'm related to Slyvestor Stallone, but I'm not sure about the past president.

You are going to have to work from yourself up to Jefferson Davis.  You can also start with him and go down to yourself to verify this.

Try the library check your last name, you'll find where it came from.

Enter some basic information and they'll probably be able to find something on you--they have a "Find famous relatives" feature.  Fun!
