Her name is Victoria Scott

Born in Houston, TX 1983

I found her listed with birth and death dates along with her SS #

But no one in my family ever told me what she died of.

Also, I can't contact any family members due to lack of current contact info.

thank you

  1. an autopsee or you could research all the symtoms she had before she died and find out what it was bcuz of

  2. Contact somebody from the funeral home that held her service. They may be able to help. Or somebody probably at the county level of government keeps those records (death certs)- you could try there.

  3. *****obtain a copy of her death certificate.  Those always have the reason for death.

  4. If you buy a death certificate from her states vital records office you know what she died of. But you might just be able to ask your mom.

  5. by Texas law, her death certificate is restricted to members of the immediate family, for a period of 25 yrs.

I don't think cousin would qualify for this. I also believe the funeral home would comply with state law.

One reason (aside from rights to privacy) that certs are restricted is that they can, and have been used, for fraud or id theft.

I am sorry for your loss. But the death cert is the only way I know of, aside from family choice to give you the info.
