  1. Well if you see a particular airplane, write down the number and lettering you see on the tail. Then look it up on the FAA website.

  2. On the FAA website they have a link for "N number lookup" click on that and if you have the N# you can see who the aircraft is registred to.

    http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/

  3. http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/

    Very easily done.

Just look it up under the registration number on the plane.

  4. This link should take you directly to the N# lookup on the FAA website:

    http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/...

N numbers are public record and available to anyone.

  5. There are several ways to search for someone's airplane #s.

    Do you have the N#?

You can generally do an internet search on that # and come up with some information.

The FAA keeps a database and there are other DBs online that can also be used.

However, many pilots and airplane owners prefer that this information remain private.

  6. go to "Black book online"

Try one of their searches, I know it's in there somewhere because I've used it before

  7. http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/...

Just type in the N number
