How can I find people to join my Yahoo Group?

I started it two or three weeks ago and no one has joined yet, except me. Does anyone have any suggestions, or does anyone want to join?

The group is for teenagers who like to write. I set it up for people to post poems and short stories, I noticed how some people post poems on yahoo answers and thought it would be a good idea.

A lot of people won't post because of copyright laws. When we post our original intellectual works on Yahoo they become the property of Yahoo and/or whoever wants to rip them off.

I would caution everyone about doing this sort of thing. I lost a lot of crochet patterns for doing something like that in an open group.

How about changing your group to a group help each other sort of thing. We all have a lot of trouble with some part of the writing process, and if there was a group to go to for suggestions and helps with, say "phrasing", it would help a lot more than just one person.

Send invitations to all your friends, to anyone who posts here who writes poetry and short stories, if they permit access to their email addresses. If some of your friends don't do this sort of thing, ask if they would pass the message on to others who they know who do.

It sounds like a great idea.  You could send nvitations  describing your group with the URL pasted into the message  to everyone you know asking them to join and for them to forward it to everyone they know.  Just a suggestion start with your best  friends even if it isn't their bag they may know people it suits.
