How can I find somewhere to sit at lunch?

Im a freshmen and none of my friends are in my lunch period, mostly juniors and seniors with established cliques. I tried to sit down at a random tables but they all move away or there seats get filled up. I ended up sitting alone at the end of a table. I feel pretty sad. Im decent looking, clean, and I try to be friendly. How can I find somewhere to sit?

just be social. be yourself. youll find some people to sit with.

try to find people in your classes that have the same lunch and become friends then you can sit with them at lunch

ure HS must sucks bad, at mine its not clique at at all just during classes try to meet someone freshmen also in that lunch period or soph who are nice enuf.

Look around carefully to see if there is anyone else sitting alone. Or, take a book or something to read or a bit of homework you need to be working on. It's been a long time since I was in school, but I've been in the situation you describe, and it can feel very uncomfortable -- you wind up wondering what is wrong with you that no one wants to sit near you. As you go through the school year, you may be lucky enough to have a new student move in, and you can bet that new student will be happy to have you as a friend to help introduce them to the school.

Just smile and say " Hey my name is _____ I'm new here, and none of my old friends have the same lunch period as me, and I was wondering if I can sit down and chat with guys at lunch?

find a friendly looking person! just ask around, or sit around and wait until that someone asks to sit with you ;)

or try to get one of your friends to move their schedule around a bit.

get a realy cute outfit on (oooh pretty boys haven fun) and jus say verry politly "umm..is it all right if i sit here?" and if they say no just sit there any where, but  know you can get your lunch period changed

Okay, in highschool, confidence is EVERYTHING. If you walk around like you are somebody, you will be somebody. Your attitude is the most important thing in highschool. If you walked up to a table full of juniors or seniors, and said something like, "Hey, you guys mind if I sit here?" odds are they won't say no. I'm a junior, and if there was a freshman at my school with that much confidence and self-esteem, who was brave enough to say that to me, I'd sure as h**l let the kid sit right next to me! Walk and talk like your sure of yourself.
