  1. Click start and check for my computer in the box the appears. once you find it drag it  on to your desktop. to drag click on it and do not release the mouse button .then move it into your desktop

  2. All computers I've come across are preset with a couple of icons on the screen, such as Recycling Bin and My Computer.

So effectively yes, you should have an icon on your screen that says My Computer. If you don't, I can only think of two reasons why its not there: you deleted it or your looking at a window or something OTHER than the home page (not really too sure what you call it but its the screen you see when theres no windows open...The one with all the icons and your background picture).

However, if the icon isnt there, its not a big issue. You can easily replace it:

Close all windows so you see your background image and icons. Press start (bottom left hand corner) and it should come up with a menu. On the right hand side of the menu somewhere, there should be a word 'Computer'. Left click on this word and hold and drag your mouse off the word and onto the background/desktop somewhere. Then let go and it should appear on the desktop (althought it may be named 'My Computer - shortcut', but i dont think that will matter much).

Hope this helps, and if you dont understand either message me and ill try to walk you through it (dont mean to be offensive or anything).

    Vasta

  3. go to start menu you can find my computer there, right click on it then show on desktop or copy it and paste it to desktop.

  4. Click start, right click my computer, put a check beside "Show on desktop"

  5. Well the shortcut to go to "My Computer" is the windows button + E

Windows button being the button on the keyboard between ctrl and alt on the bottom left of the keyboard. Hold it down then press 'E' on the keyboard once to open my computer.

  6. it should be in the start menu on the bottom left of your screen, when you turn on your computer
