How can I find the area of a triangle if I only know the altitude and the perimeter?

The problem wants me to find the area of a triangle that has an altitude(height) of 2√3 and a perimeter of 12. I'm thinkin' I need assistance.

  1. do u know what kind of triangle?


  2. if your triangle is an equilateral triangle(which means all sides have the same length) then you will just do base times height divided by three which would be in the equilateral case

    4(2√3)/3  and that would be your equation
