I'm 27 yrs old living in New York. I've studied Graphic Design ( basic) Currently trying Interior Design. I've worked for over 7 years in the Fashion industry as a handbag designer. I'm okay at it, but I can only sketch over a picture, meaning my hand sketching abilities aren't that great, and looking at the product and sketching it on the computer is a bit worse. I can get creative when its something new and that I will enjoy. After working more than one day on something it gets boring and I start losing interest in it. I can get the job done, but I can't put all my efforts in it. My fashion sense is not that great. I did not study Fashion and I could care less what is todays trend. Right now I'm working as a production designer and its quite boring. Don't get me wrong I do like this kind of job, but I wish it wasn't so repetitive.

I have a tendency to want to try new things, but as soon as its a bit difficult or long I start losing interest, so I drop it and start something else. That's how I dropped Interior Design after 6 months. I love Interior Design but my sketching ability makes it hard to enjoy it. There are other things I would like to try like cartoon/manga/anime artist/designer. I want to be a designer, but I don't want to have to go through so many courses to find the right one. I enjoy packaging ( not packaging design), but physically building the box, and adding whatever product and shipping it. (although this I would like for it to be my own products designed by me)

Anyways, you can see how my mind is wondering all over on this. I need to stand on solid ground and somewhere where to look. There are so many courses I would like to take, or jobs to apply to but I don't have the experience or the money for it. Therefore I always back down. I need a push into the right direction.

Thank you for reading.

  1. This won't get you rich, but it is really free to start. I love it. And you get paid when other people join for free.  You can do it in your spare time. http://www.AWSurveys.com/HomeMain.cfm?Re...

  2. There are many tests to see what your talents could be best used in.  I would ignore the answer about work from home most of these are not profitable.  In addition some parts of every job are somewhat difficult and boring, you have to live with some of that it you (as I do) need money to live.  Good luck!!!
