How can I find the exact date of death for a person?

Easiest way would be to apply for a copy of the Death Certificate.

Contact the Registrar for Births. Deaths and Marriages in Slough. You will need the full name of the deceased and last known address. The telephone number is in the local phone directory, or you could find it on line.

Edit: Sorry the indice gives date of birth, and just the month and year of death, but I would be able to find the GRO number for you so that you can order the death certificate.

It will cost £7:00 for an on-line order and £8:50 for a telephone order, and they are delivered between 5-7 working days later.
