How can I find the fax code for London England?

Tried to fax with number given and was told there was not enough numbers. Does anyone know if there is a special number or code that has to either start or finish when sending a fax to London England.

Drop the first "0" and replace it with 44.  So 0207 800 8888 would be 442078008888.
