I am going to be high school junior in the fall and would like to find a foreign exchange program to Australia or England. I am hoping to find a program that goes for a few months or a semester at most. If possible, the lower the rates the better :-) I would also like if I could find a program so I could leave possibly the second semester of school this year or even sooner. Any help is greatly appreciated-- thanks!!

  1. Well I have to tell you that you might be a bit late applying but that doesn't mean you won't get in. Maybe doing a summer program instead? Because going your senior year gets awfully complicated and you could end up repeating a year. But as for exchange programs go, I would go through AFS. They've been doing intercultural exchanges for 60 years and have a great support system! They don't exchange to the UK because there weren't enough volunteers but they do exchange with Australia. They have three different types of programs you can do- full year, semester, or Summer home stay plus. The Australian programs do get a little pricey because you have to travel so far but AFS has a fundraising help site that you can take a look at. There's also the Education First (EF) exchange program but I don't know too much about it, although I do believe that they exchange to the UK.

    Good Luck!

  2. i went with www.yfu.org . the best way is to just do a google search for study in uk or study in australia. it takes time. spend a week or two just searching google writing down the difff programs and cost etc.

you are pushing the deadline of spring semester. you should be able t ofind summer and definantly a fall semester of 09. good luck

    good luck.
