Question:

How can I find the rules for 2008 gift tax for IRS?

The gift laws I know will change soon and I'm not even sure what they are right now. Any web sites would be helpful as I know its complicated

    The only significant pending changes are reductions in the maximum Gift Tax rate from 45% to 35% for 2010 and then a return to the old max rate of 46% after Dec 31, 2010.  That may well be changed by Congress.  They can change the law at any time.
