How can I find volleyball camps in my area?

what i do is ask my gym teacher and my friends that plays volleyball and see if they got any place so u can ask ur friends to see.

It sounds like you have some great answers.  The first thing I would do is ask the coach or coaches of the teams you are going to try out for if they have any camps this summer.  Those are the ones you want to attend if they have them, because the coach gets to see you play more than other kids that do not go to their camps.

Second you want to look for any local colleges or universities that have a volleyball program.  Most of those will have a camp or at least know of a good college that has camps.  This is good because if you want to play in college it gives the coaches an extra chance to scout you.  You can usually find these by going to the college's athletic website.

Then there is the big colleges/universities.  If you want to travel for a week and meet new kids and go to a new part of the country (and have some extra cash) these are very cool.  Some of the big ones are UCLA and Stanford (or any other school that has a top 20 men's or women's team).  Almost all of those have very good camps and you can find them on line as well.

check with the athletic department at your school.  You can also check with local universities, they usually sponser volleyball camps in the summer.

Speak to the coaches for volleyball - they will have the info on the camps, and will be able to tell you the best ones, and what will work for your game.

You can also check with the park and rec dept in your area - they will know what is going on where.

If their are any coll. around you they usually have camps during the summer....some overnight some not. If not ask your P.E teacher at school or your volleyball coach
