    William Rozier Hall

    Born: 10 July 1934

    Virginia

    Died: 2006

    Virginia, USA

(I doubt VERY HIGHLY that this one above is right)

This was  on a World War I draft registration card, 1917-1918:

    Name:  William R Hall

    Birth:  15 Aug 1890

    Birth:  Virginia;United States of America

    Residence:  Not Stated, Alexandria, Virginia

    Other:  Alexandria County

U.S. Marine Corps Muster Rolls, 1798-1940

    Name: William R Hall

    Muster Date: Jun 1940

    RANK: Private First Class

Station: Rifle Range Detachment, Post Service Battalion, Mb, Quantico, Virginia

I wish you had included your Dad's birth year, so it would be easier to find your grandfather. The 2 that I put immediately above would more likely fit the time frame than the first one. On www.findagrave.com there are 78 cemeteries listed in Loudoun County, Virginia.

  2. Try these sites:

    http://freepages.military.rootsweb.com/~...

    http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/VA/Lou...

    Edit:

    Here's a good one:

    http://www.interment.net/data/query_sele...

  3. Loudoun County Virginia has a database of all of their cemeteries.  Go to the following website:

    http://www.leesburgva.gov/services/libra...

They also have published a book which lists all of the names in all of their cemeteries.

  4. Agree with above post.  Try Loudoun County VA US Gen. Web.

Coordinator there might assist, there are many helpful folks on those boards.

  5. What is difficult to estimate is when he died. If you are 70 yrs old, and he died before death certificates were required, that door is closed.  If you are in your 30's, and the death was 50 yrs ago.. his death certificate is the most logical way to go.

Hmm.  I am looking at the moment to pick him up in the ssdi if possible.. and Rozier Hall, born 1845 in Loudon co, Va popped on the screen.  Heads up, he will probably be related.

EDIT- I find 2 William Halls in ssdi-

William Hall   8 Mar 1896   May 1967   Purcellville, Loudoun, Virginia

Match quality: 3 out of 5 William Hall 15 Jan 1911 May 1979 Leesburg, Loudoun, Virginia

  6. i don't know but i'd recommend Arlington National Cemetary

  7. not for sure; but u could try to court house; they might be able to help. or the funeral home that had him might still have record Good Luck!!!! Also if your grandmother is still living she might know.
