How can I find which network owns an unissued mobile phone number?

I'm after a particular phone number and need to know the best route to getting it. The number isn't in use yet (I've tried it) and I'm trying to find which network will be issuing it.

It's not a gold number (got one of those already) but one that relates to my business.
