How can I fix a leaky Valley shower faucet?

having trouble getting it apart. do not want to break it. took the allen s***w off the single handle, but the handle did not come off. does the outer part unscrew from the valve body?

  1. why not replace it if the plumber to high


  2. Unless the place you bought it sells replacement parts then there is not much use.  If the do it is as simple as turning off the waqter before it gets to the fixture and swapping out the stem.  A lot of fixtures though you can not get replacement parts for and have to replace the whole fixture.

  3. you need to rebuild the valve. you will need to buy new seats and stems, shut off the water and tear apart the valve

  4. I went to home depot or Lowes ( better customer service)...and ask for their help and if you find a good rep they can suggest you what you need to fix it.

    I have done it in the past ..some time using replacement ..if fixing seems too expensive.

  5. you cant.... call a Plumber.
