How can I fix my 6288 nokia camera?

My 6288 nokia camera isn't working. The phone works perfectly fine. But the cam isn't. I switch on the cam then the screen freezes for a few seconds and a message says "Operation Failed". I tried to watch the videos i took before in my gallery but the screen turns black. only the sound can be heard. does anybody know what's the problem with it and how i could fix it? i don't want to go to the nokia store just yet. I want to try to fix it myself first. Please help. and thank you!

There are many reason for this.

You can the below mentioned steps

1) First switch off the cell and take out the battery and after some time again put it and start it and try to use the cam.

2) Format the Mobile and see if its working.

3) Reload the software or upgrade the software again as some time the software may get corrupted and thats why it wont work.

It may also be possible that you are running the video which is not compatible with the software. So try to get from your any friend any clip or shoot it yourself and see the it wheather you can see it or not.

As you are saying that you can only hear the sound that means its the problem of software as nokia uses realmedia player to run video files.
