  1. If you're talking about plain old coaxial cable, personally, I'd just replace it or (if it's long enough) put a new connector on one of the broken ends and toss the rest.  Trying to fix it is more trouble than it's worth.

  2. first off gather the following small propane torch rosin core solder,  matches ,large knife ul certified black tape use torch to melt sheath around cable .then scrape remaining goop off copper wire join two ends together by twisting then use torch to solder together caution solder may burn skin or eyes dont place solder in mouth either then use tape to wrap up. solution 2 . go to car insert key in ignition aim car in direction of walmart enter and purchase cable return home live happy in peace at last knowing you too can solve a crisis.

  3. Your best bet is to just get a new cable.

If that's not really possible - for instance, the cable is running through the wall, then try re-capping it.  Get a connector kit from the store, and put a new connector on each of the broken ends of the cable.  Now just get an adapter to connect the two ends together.

  4. You can buy two male connectors, like the ones you plug in the wall, and a double end female connector.

But I found you will get the same results if you bind the braiding together and making sure no strands are missed

    then tape up well

Do the same with the center core

Then tape up the lot together.
