How can I fix my boombox if the antenna broke off?

  1. An antenna is just a piece of metal.  Any old piece of wire will work as an antenna.  Just take about a foot of wire, strip off about 2  inches of the insulation, and wrap the uninsulated length around the stub of the broken antenna.

    Voila...instant antenna!


  2. take a metal clothes hanger, bend the hook part straight and stick it down in the hole. you can do what you like with the rest of the hanger, but you do need about a foot of metal to stick out.

  3. Radio Shack sells replacement antennas. Take your boom box in and they can match one up for you.

    Or you can just use an old metal cloth hanger.

  4. Some aluminum foil should do it.
