Question:

How can I fix my inaccessible computer that has a virus?

My PC suddenly got some viruses. I can log on to my Windows account and open programs, but then, suddenly, my control bar, or whatever (with my start menu), disappears, thus, cannot open anything. My desktop has a message on it and a link/ button. It all started when I clicked on a link on Google about an LCD TV. A pop-up appeared regarding Microsoft Antivirus 2009. The message said it would scan my computer for viruses and I pressed back on my browser (or, maybe, forward?) and the scan begun. It prompted me to install Antivirus 2009, so I did. I realize that this may have not been the greatest decision. Now I can't access my main PC. I need to fix it, but before calling anyone to help, I would like to try by myself. I have a laptop and wireless internet. Please help as soon as possible, in as much detail as possible.
