Question:

How can I fix my wireless router so two computers connect at once? ?

Before we were with plus net and used a wireless adsl router. We have moved and now have cable broadband. We plugged out old router into the cable modem with an ethernet cable and at first it seemed to work. However, our second laptop connected to the router but with 'local only' access. Also, whenever we switched the other computer off and on it again connected to the router but only locally so no internet access. Now it appears we can only connect to the internet via the router with one computer at a time (whichever connects to the router first) and every time we want to connect we have to switch off the modem and router to reset them. Any tips on how to get both laptops to connect at the same time and how to not have to reset it every time our computers go on and off?

  1. An ADSL router is not fully compatible with Cable systems, they are designed to work with BT systems, in order to resolve the issues you are having you will need to get a DSL router which is designed for Cable systems.

  2. Try Sky Broadband

its free when you have Sky TV

plus you get a free router

you can have more than one computer/laptop using it at the same time and it works soo perfect

    try it!!

  3. An adsl router will not work on a cable modem
