Question:

How can I fix my word pad?

After I save my document with all the tabbing for indexing when I re-open it all of my tabs are off.

Why does it keep doing this?

Reinstall the office

Are you saving the file as an .rtf (Rich Text Format) document? I don't think any of the other formats save such formatting information.
