How can I fix this???? Or should I try?

Question

I am really calm and let ppl say what they want about me, but the second they hit me in the face I get all cloudy and just go berzerk. Its like a split second adrenaline release or sumthing and it last the entire fight, and all i can see if the person im fighting. I dont feel a single thing and i cant really think i just start throwing bombs like as hard as i can and i cant help it. I dont remember anything that happens but one time my friend said i just had this weird look on my face and the kid broke my nose and i was bleeding all over and i didnt even act like it bothered me, like didnt flinch or anything. Just kept swinging, and they said they were like huge, every single one of them and the kid ended up giving up becuz he couldnt do anything to me.

Is there any reason i did this? Any way I can stop? Is this good? And is this called anything specific? And does anyone else do the exact same thing.

Needless to say, the kid no longer messes with me, but since he was really popular, everyone believe he won and ppl think im a *****.

Fight or flight, it's hardwired into your brain.  Some folks have it worse than others.  It's a survival mechanism that goes back to the days when we were once prey animals.



I get the same tunnel vision in which I can't see or hear anything other than my opponent, but nothing like your loss of control.  I think a good sensei could teach you the control you need to prevent murdering someone.  See if you can find a good karate teacher that instills discipline as well as the technical training, and I think you'll be able to reprogram your genetic response.

This is called losing control. You definitely have to fix this because it will be a matter of time before someone who's in control of his emotions beats the c**p out of you.

It's all mental. You simply tell yourself to grow up in the ring and stay under control.
