  1. Simple. You load the flight plan (IFR) into the sim with the "Flight Planner". You then fill out all the necessary blanks (cruise altitude, etc.) then load the flight. Conduct a normal takeoff and follow the ATC vectors. When they say "...and resume own navigation", flick the NAV/GPS switch (on the left of the MCP) to GPS and push the NAV button on the MCP. The aircraft should now be following the route that the sim has created.


  2. First you set up your GPS route on your Garmin. Then you want to set up a type of approach (ILS, VOR, etc.) Then load your approach. Once you want to start your descent into the airport and your close enough to start an approach, go into your procedure page and activate your approach. You can follow this or you can put on autopilot. Then simply extend the flaps, arm your spoilers, extract the gear, and when you touchdown put on reverse thrusters.
